In-beam γ-ray spectroscopy studies of medium-spin states in the odd-odd nucleus 186Re

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 186W(d, 2n)186Re, E=12.5, 14.5 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin using Clover Array Gamma-Ray spectrometer for Advanced research (CAGRA) at RCNP, Osaka University, and CAESAR spectrometer at the 14UD Pelletron accelerator of the Australian National University. 186Re; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, K-shell conversion coefficients, multipolarities, bands, configurations, branching ratios and gK-gR values. Comparison with multi-quasiparticle blocking calculations.

Total absorption spectroscopy study of the β decay of 86Br and 91Rb

RADIOACTIVITY 86Br, 91Rb(β-)[from U(p, F), E not given, radioactive beams purified by JYFLTRAP Penning trap at Jyvaskyla]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγ-coin, total absorption gamma spectrum (TAGS) using Valencia-Surrey Total Absorption Spectrometer Rocinante at the IGISOL facility of the University of Jyvaskyla; deduced mean average energy for β particles and γ rays, β spectra, B(GT) strengths, impact of the investigated decays in the prediction of decay heat and antineutrino spectrum from nuclear reactors. Comparison with previous experimental data, with the evaluated high-resolution decay data in the ENSDF database at NNDC-BNL, and with quasiparticle random-phase approximation calculations.
