NUCLEAR REACTIONS 198Pt(82Se, X), E=426 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (84Kr)γ-coin using PRISMA spectrometer for fragments and AGATA array for γ rays at Tandem-ALPI-LNL accelerator facility. 196Os; deduced levels, J, π, γ-unstable/triaxial rotor yrast band. Comparison with state-of-the-art beyond-mean-field calculations.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 188,190,192,194,196,198Os; calculated particle number projected potential energy surfaces in (β2, γ) plane, level energies in the yrast bands using Gogny D1S interaction. State-of-the-art beyond-meanfield calculations. Comparison with experimental data.
