Total Absorption Gamma-ray Spectroscopy (TAGS - sometimes abbreviated to TAS) and Discrete Gamma-ray Spectroscopy (DGS). This review has been carried out following similar work performed under the auspices of OECD/WPEC-Subgroup 25 (2005-2007) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (2009, 2014), and various highly relevant TAGS measurements completed as a consequence of such assessments.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 86,87,88Sr(p, γ)87Y/88Y/89Y, E=1.5-5 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ), 4π γ-summing, σ(E, Eγ) at the 4 MV Dynamitron of University of Stuttgart, or Dynamitron-Tandem-Laboratorium (DTL) of Ruhr-Universitat, Bochum. 87,88,89Y; deduced levels, J, π, astrophysical S factors. 84,86,87,88Sr(p, γ)85Y/85mY/87Y/87mY/88Y/89Y/89mY, E=1.3-3.8 MeV; analyzed present and previous experimental data; deduced σ(E) and astrophysical S factors, and compared with Hauser-Feshbach (HF) theoretical calculations using TALYS 1.95 with combinations of optical model parameters (OMP), nuclear level density (NLD) models, and γ-strength functions (γSF) models. Discussed uncertainties arising from global nuclear models for a wide range of relevant nuclei. Relevance to discrepancies between the observed abundances of p-nuclei in the solar system and those predicted by different astrophysical models of the p-process.
