Comparison with previous experimental results, and with theoretical calculations using EMPIRE 3.2.2 and TALYS 1.8 nuclear model codes. 197Au(n, 2n)196Au/196mAu, 197Au(n, 3n)195Au, 197Au(n, α)194Ir, 197Au(n, p)197Pt/197mPt, 197Au(n, n), 197Au(n, X), E<35 MeV; compiled σ(E) data from various references and present work; deduced optical model potential parameters. RADIOACTIVITY 196Au(EC), (β+), (β-)[from 197Au(n, 2n); 196mAu(IT)[from 197Au(n, 2n)]; measured Eγ, Iγ, reported modified Iγ values for the decay of 9.6-h isomer of 196Au from a private communication (reference 14 in this work).
