Axial and triaxial degrees of freedom in 72Zn

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 109Ag(72Zn, 72Zn'), E=2.85 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 72Zn beam from U(p, F), E=1.4 GeV primary beam using UCx target, resonant ionization laser ion Source, and High Resolution mass Separator at the REX-ISOLDE-CERN facility]; measured particle spectra using C-REX array of two annular double-sided silicon strip detectors (DSSSD), Doppler-corrected Eγ, Iγ, (particle)γ-coin, σ(θ, E(level)) using Miniball array of eight six-fold segmented HPGe triple cluster detectors for γ radiation. 72Zn; deduced levels, Jπ, E2 matrix elements, B(E2), spectroscopic quadrupole moments for the first two 2+ states, first excited 0+ and first 4+ states using GOSIA-GOSIA2 analysis in multiple safe Coulomb excitation; calculated potential energy surface (PES) in (β, γ) planes for the g.s., first excited 0+ and 2+ states, and the 2+ state of the γ band in the PNAMP approach. Comparison to shell-model calculations using jj44c and JUN45 effective interactions, and to mean-field generator coordinate method (GCM) calculations. Systematics and theoretical predictions of B(E2) values for 62,64,66,68,70,72,74,76,78,80Zn for the first 2+ and 4+ states.

Discussed potential of the new detection technique using NICE detector system.

RADIOACTIVITY 137,138Sb(β-), (β-n), (β-2n)[from 9Be(238U, F), E=345 MeV/nucleon, followed by separation of fragments using BigRIPS and Zero-Degree spectrometer at RIBF-RIKEN facility]; measured yields of 137Sb 138Sb, Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, half-lives of decays of ground states of 137Sb and 138Sb using WAS3ABi detection system and EURICA array for γ rays. 135,136,137,138Te; deduced levels, J, π, β-, β-n and β-2n feedings, logft values. Systematics of energies of excited states in the Z=52-64(even) and N=85 isotones. Comparison with large-scale shell-model calculations.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 137,138Te; calculated levels, J, π, one-neutron spectroscopic factors for 137Te, B(E2), spectroscopic quadrupole moments and g factors for levels in 138Te using large-scale shell-model, with Napoli and N3LOP interactions. Comparison with experimental data.

Evolution of proton single-particle states in neutron-rich Sb isotopes beyond N=82

RADIOACTIVITY 136,137,138Sn(β-)(β-n)[from 9Be(238U, F), E=345 MeV/nucleon, followed by separation and identification of fragments of interest using BigRIPS separator and ZeroDegree spectrometer, and implants deposited at WAS3ABi detector at RIBF-RIKEN facility]; measured Eγ, Iγ, Eβ, βγ- and γγ-coin using the EURICA array of Ge detectors, half-lives of decays of 136Sn, 137Sn and 138Sn. 136,137,138Sb; deduced levels, J, π, %β-n or Pn, β feedings, logft, configurations. Comparison with shell model calculations using the Napoli and N3LOP interactions. Systematics of first 5/2+ and 7/2+ states in 133,135,137,139,141Sb. 134,136,138Sb; calculated energies of levels in 0- to 7- spin range using shell model calculations using the Napoli and N3LOP interactions, and compared with experimental data. Systematics of experimental energies of the first 5/2+ and 7/2+ states in A=107-135, odd-A Sb isotopes.

Comparison of level structure with phenomenological shell model using SR88MHJM interaction, and β+p decay with semi-empirical proton emission theory by Delion, Liotta, and Wyss 2006.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 3H(66Ni, p)68Ni, E=2.6 MeV/nucleon; measured Ep, Ip, Eγ, Iγ, pγ-coin, differential σ(θ) distributions of transfer to ground state, first excited 0+ and first 2+ states in 68Ni using the T-REX silicon particle detector array for light charged recoil detection and the Miniball detector array for γ detection at ISOLDE-CERN. 68Ni; deduced levels, L-transfer, neutron and proton average orbital occupancies of ground state, excited 0+ state, and the first 2+ state. DWBA analysis of angular distributions using the FRESCO code. Comparison with shell model calculations with the A3DA-m and the JJ44pna interaction. Discussed feeding of the 0+ states by the transfer of neutrons mainly filling the N=40 subshell closure for the ground state.

Comparison with previous experimental results, and with shell model calculations using NUSHELLX code and SLGM interaction. 100Sn; search for a core-excited isomer in 100Sn decaying by E2 proved negative; calculated upper limit for half-life and lower limit for Eγ of an hypothetical isomer in 100Sn decaying by E2.

Comparison with shell-model and triaxial beyond-mean-field calculations, and with previous experimental results. Systematics of g factors of first 2+ states in even-even N=32-66 Zn, Ge, Se, Kr and Sr isotopes.
