Structure of the low-lying states in 99, 101, 103, 105Pd

Half-lives were determined by centroid shift method, deconvolution method and differential decay curve method (on case of 103Pd experiment with plunger). Comparison with rigid triaxial rotor plus particle model (RTRPM) calculations. RoSphere array comprised of 8 HPGe and 11 LaBr3:Ce detectors at IFIN-HH (Romania).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 121Sb(12C, 2nα)127Cs, E=54 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(ADO ratios), level T1/2 by DSAM and by fast-timing method using an array of LaBr3(Ce) detectors and ROSPHERE array for γ detection at the FN Tandem accelerator of IFIN-HH-Bucharest. 127Cs; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, bands, multipolarities, multipole mixing ratios, B(M1), B(E2), signature splitting S(J), configurations, evidence for triaxial nuclear shapes in the states described by the proton h11/2 orbital, soft core for quadrupole deformation and shape asymmetry due to polarizing h11/2 protons. Comparison with quasiparticle plus triaxial rotor (QTR) model predictions.

Low-spin states in 80Ge populated in the β decay of the 80Ga 3- isomer

RADIOACTIVITY 80mGa(β-)[from decay of 80Zn produced in U(n, F), E=fast neutrons at the ISOLDE-CERN facility, followed by separation of fission fragments passed using the ISOLDE Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS) and high-resolution magnetic separator]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγ- and γγ-coin using two HPGe detectors for γ rays and an NE111A organic plastic scintillator for β detection. 80Ge; deduced levels, J, π, β feedings, logft. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with shell-model and IBM calculations.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 70,72,74,76,78,80,82Ge, 82Se, 84Kr, 86Sr, 88Zr, 90Mo; calculated energies of second 0+ states by shell-model using Antoine code with JUN45 interaction, and NUSHELLX@MSU code with jj44bpn interaction, and IBM-1, IBM-2 models, and comparison with experimental values; Systematics of low-lying positive-parity levels up to 8+.

Fast-timing study of 81Ga from the β decay of 81Zn

RADIOACTIVITY 81Zn(β-), (β-n)[from U(p, F), E=1.4 GeV at CERN PS-Booster (PSB) facility, followed by separation of ionized nuclei using the ISOLDE-RILIS]; measured Eγ, Iγ, b-, βγ- and γγ-coin, half-life of 81Zn decay, level half-lives by βγγ(t) fast-timing technique, β-delayed neutron branching ratio or Pn using HPGe and LaBr3 detectors for γ detection and a plastic scintillator for β detection at CERN-ISOLDE. 80,81Ga(β-); measured half-lives of 80Ga and 81Ga decays. 80,81Ga; deduced levels, J, π, Iβ, logft, B(M1), and B(E2). Comparison with large-scale shell model calculations using the NuShellX@MSU and ANTOINE codes with JUN45 and jj44b interactions. Systematics of low-lying levels in 71,73,75,77,79,81Ga, 79Cu, 83As, 85Br, 87Rb. 81Zn; discussed spin, parity and configuration of the ground state.

Experiments performed at the CNS Radioactive Ion Beams (CRIB) facility at RIKEN, and EXOTIC facility at the Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro (LNL).

Discussed onset of collectivity in Nd isotopes below the N=82 shell closure from B(E2) systematics in 132,134,136,138,140Nd, 136Ce, 140,142Sm.

Comparison with previous experimental results, and with potential model calculation using the well-known 16O+α cluster band configurations. Relevance to α branching ratio in the astrophysical reaction rate for high-spin near-threshold resonances.

Comparison with previous measurements, and with shell-model calculations. Systematics of level structure in 71,73,75Ga.
