Low-spin particle-core and hole-core excitations in 41, 47, 49Ca isotopes studied by cold-neutron-capture reactions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 40,46,48Ca(n, γ), E=cold neutrons from High Flux Reactor of ILL-Grenoble; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ) using EXILL array of eight clover detectors from the EXOGAM setup, six coaxial detectors from the GASP array, and two ILL clover detectors. 41,47,49Ca; deduced levels, J, π, γ branching ratios, multipolarities, mixing ratios, S(n), configurations. Comparison with self-consistent beyond-mean-field calculations using hybrid configuration mixing model, based on a Skyrme SkX Hamiltonian.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 41,47,49Ca; calculated levels, J, π, wave functions and corresponding squared amplitudes, B(E3), spectroscopic factors for 49Ca levels populated in (d, p) reaction using self-consistent beyond-mean-field calculations in a hybrid configuration mixing model, based on a Skyrme SkX Hamiltonian. Comparison with experimental data.

Identification of high-spin proton configurations in 136Ba and 137Ba

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 238U(136Xe, 136Ba), E=6.84 MeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ, charged particles, and (charged particles)γ- and γγ-coin using the AGATA array for γ detection and the PRISMA spectrometer for charged particles at PIAVE+ALPI accelerator complex of INFN-LNL-Legnaro. 130Te(9Be, X)136Ba, E=40, 43 MeV; 130Te(11B, X)136Ba/137Ba, E not given; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ) using 11 HPGe detectors and HORUS array of 14 HPGe detectors at the FN Tandem accelerator of University of Cologne. 136,137Ba; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, mixing ratios. Comparison with shell model predictions using GCN50:82, PQM130, realistic SM and SN100PN interactions. Systematics of high-spin levels in 134,135Xe, 136,137Ba, 138,139Ce, 140Nd.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 124Sn(13C, X)133Ba/134Ba, E=55 MeV from FN tandem accelerator at Cologne; 208Pb(136Xe, X)134Ba, E=6.84 MeV/nucleon from PIAVE+ALPI accelerator complex at LNL-Legnaro; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ), half-lives of isomers by γγ(t) using eight HPGe and 12 LaBr3(ce) detectors at Cologne, and magnetic spectrometer PRISMA with AGATA array at Legnaro. 133,134Ba; deduced high-spin levels, isomers, J, π, multipolarities, alignments, bands, backbending, configurations, B(E1), B(E2). Comparison with shell-model calculations for 134Ba, and with previous experimental results. Systematics of positive- and negative-parity yrast states in N=78 nuclei: 130Te, 132Xe, 134Ba, 136Ce, 138Nd, 140Sm, 142Gd, and Z=56 nuclei: 126,128,130,132,134,136,138Ba.

High-spin structure in the transitional nucleus 131Xe: Competitive neutron and proton alignment in the vicinity of the N=82 shell closure

Comparison with shell-model calculations using several different interactions; discussed systematics of high-spin states in Z=54 nuclei of 123,125,127,129,131Xe, and N=77 nuclei of 127Sn, 129Te131Xe, 133Ba, 135Ce, 137Nd, 139Sm, 141Gd; compiled experimental total aligned angular momentum versus rotational frequency plots for yrast bands in A=117-132 Xe isotopes.

Comparison with previous experimental data, and with large-scale shell model calculations using the SM, GCN50:82, SN100PN and SN100-KTH interactions. Isomers and high-spin structures in the N=81 isotones 135Xe and 137Ba

Four experiments carried out using 136Xe beam with 208Pb and 238U targets using PRISMA magnetic mass spectrometer and AGATA demonstrator array at Legnaro PIAVE+ALPI accelerator, 136Xe beam with 198Pt target using GAMMASPHERE and CHICO particle detector arrays at LBNL-cyclotron facility, and 11B beam with 130Te target using HORUS array at Cologne FN Tandem accelerator. 135Xe, 137Ba; deduced levels, J, π, isomers, configurations, B(E2). Identification of isotopes by prompt and delayed cross coincidences with γ rays from complementary A=146-156 Sm isotopes. 118,120,122,124,126,128Sn; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarity, high-seniority states, isomers, B(E1), B(E2), B(E3). Comparison with shell model calculations with jj55pn interactions for 122,124,126,128,130Sn nuclides. Systematics of yrast levels and B(Eλ) for A=116-132 even-even Sn isotopes.
