Observing the ping-pong modality of the isospin degree of freedom in cluster emission from heavy-ion reactions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(86Kr, X), E=25 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, A=3 isobars in coincidence with the intermediate mass fragments of A=6-11; deduced velocity spectra of 3H and 3He, yields ratios of 3H/3He correlate reversely to the neutron-to-proton ratio N/Z of the intermediate mass fragments. Comparison with ImQMD transport model. Yield ratio 3H/3He exhibits evident anticorrelation with the N/Z of the latter, suggesting the ping-pong modality of the N/Z of the emitted particles. Anti-correlation shows dependence on the slope of the symmetry energy at saturation density. Compact Spectrometer for Heavy IoN Experiment (CSHINE) at the final focal plane of the Radioactive Ion Beam Line at Lanzhou (RIBLL-I).

Test of nuclear decay rate variation due to an antineutrino flux

Observed no measurable decay rate parameter variation due to an antineutrino flux. Systematics of the decay rate parameter variation measurements for 3H, 32Si, 36Cl, 54Mn, 137Cs, 152Eu, 154Eu, 155Eu, 226Rn. HFIR at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory was used as an antineutrino source.

Macroscopic-microscopic method in multidimensional deformation spaces to analyze the expected exotic symmetries and octupole shape instabilities, tetrahedral point group symmetry, and realistic nuclear mean-field theory using phenomenological Woods-Saxon Hamiltonian combined with the Monte Carlo approach. Comparison with available experimental nuclear octupole deformations.

Distorted-wave impulse approximation (DWIA) analysis for cross sections. Comparison with shell model calculations using the Lenzi-Nowacki-Poves-Sieja LNPS and PFSDG-U interactions, and with previous experimental data.

Comparison with theoretical calculations using the JQMD+GEM and INCL+GEM codes.

Comparison with shell-model calculations for 134Ba, and with previous experimental results. Systematics of positive- and negative-parity yrast states in N=78 nuclei: 130Te, 132Xe, 134Ba, 136Ce, 138Nd, 140Sm, 142Gd, and Z=56 nuclei: 126,128,130,132,134,136,138Ba.

Comparison of experimental σ for inelastic scattering with calculations using Jeukenne-Lejeune-Mahaux (JLM) folding model with quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA). 58Ni(p, p), E=295, 250, 333 MeV; 58Ni(p, p'), E=178 MeV; analyzed σ(θ) data using the JLM reaction model and KD02 potential.
