Large-scale, shell-model calculations with the extended pairing plus multipole-multipole force (EPQQM) model, and compared with experimental data and with results from jj45pna interaction.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 136Xe, 137Cs, 138Ba; calculated high-spin levels, J, π, configurations, B(E2), effective single-particle energies (ESPEs), occupation numbers using large-scale shell-model calculations with the extended paring-plus-quadrupole interaction with monopole corrections (EPQQM); deduced a monopole-driven competition between different excitation modes in the high-lying, high-spin states in nuclei above 132Sn, suggesting the importance of neutron core excitation for nuclei across the N=82 closed shell. Comparison with experimental data.
