DWBA analysis. 24Mg; deduced levels, isoscalar giant resonances, l-transfers, widths, strength distributions for isoscalar giant monopole resonance (ISGMR), isoscalar giant dipole resonance (ISGDR) and isoscalar giant quadrupole resonance (ISGQR), K-splitting of ISGMR and ISGQR, energy-weighted sum rules (EWSR). Comparison with calculations based on self-consistent solution of deformed HFB and QRPA equations using Skyrme SkM* functionals for a prolate-deformed ground state in 24Mg and compared with those expected for a spherical ground state.
