Candidate for the 2⁺ excited Hoyle state at E_x ∼ 10 MeV in ¹²C

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²C(α, α'), E=386 MeV; measured E(α), I(α), σ(θ) of differential cross sections. Grand Raiden spectrometer. ¹²C; deduced levels, J, π, l-values, isoscalar strength distributions, widths, 2+ excitation of the Hoyle resonance and the α-condensate state. DWBA analysis of σ(θ) data.
