NUCLEAR REACTIONS 18F(p, α)15O;19F(3He, t)19Ne, E=140 MeV/nucleon; measured Et, It(θ); deduced peaks of discrete excited states in 19Ne; deduced 19F, 19Ne levels, J, π, deduced ΔL=0 state at 6.13 MeV which could significantly affect 18F(p, α) astrophysical S-factor, suggested mirror pairs of states. Levels compared with published data. 18F(p, α), E(cm)=0-1 MeV; calculated astrophysical S-factor with different interference signs between L=0 states with possibility of changing temperatures (50-350 MK); deduced resonance parameters (energy, (α- and p-width, ANC)). S-factor compared with other calculations.

Chemical ion-exchange separation of Mo from Zr, Fe, and other elements in zircon reference material; deduced half-life of decay of 96Zr by applying modern isotope-geochemical and chemical separation techniques; estimated lower limit of half-life for β- decay mode, using previously measured half-life for 2νββ decay mode.
