Direct proton decay of the isoscalar giant dipole resonance in ²⁰⁸Pb

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁸Pb(α, α'p), E=400 MeV; measured Eα, Iα, decay proton spectra, σ(E, θ); calculated σ(θ) via DWBA; deduced ISGDR proton-decay branching ratio. Comparison with continuum RPA calculations.
