Isoscalar giant resonance strengths ³²S and possible excitation of superdeformed and ²⁸Si + α cluster bandheads

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ³²S(α, α'), E=386 MeV; measured Eα, Iα, σ(θ), isoscalar giant resonance strengths using Grand Raiden spectrometer at RCNP, Osaka cyclotron facility. ³²S; deduced levels, J, π, L-transfers, E0, E1, E2, E3, E4 strengths, superdeformed bandheads, parity-doublet ²⁸S+α cluster bands. Comparison with the assumption of point masses for ¹⁶O+¹⁶O and ²⁸Si+α cluster structures. Multipole decomposition analysis (MDA) and DWBA analysis.
