Clarifying the structure of low-lying states in 72Br

RADIOACTIVITY 72Kr(EC), (β+)[from Nb(p, X), E=1.4 GeV at ISOLDE-CERN, followed by high-resolution mass separation]; measured Eγ, Iγ, x rays, conversion electrons, conversion coefficients using HPGe detector for γ rays and a miniorange electron spectrometer for electrons. 72Br; deduced levels, J, π, multipolarities, multipole mixing ratios, configurations, no E0 transitions observed. 72Br(EC)[from 72Kr EC decay]; 72As(EC)[present as contaminant]; measured Eγ, Iγ, conversion electrons. 72Se, 72Ge; deduced Eγ and E0 transitions. Comparison of level structure in 72Br with theoretical calculations using the mean-field HF+BCS approach with SLy4 Skyrme-type interaction and large-scale shell-model using jun45.lnps interaction, and with previous experimental results.

Total absorption γ-ray spectroscopy of the β decays of 96gs, mY

RADIOACTIVITY 96,96mY(β-)[from U(p, F), followed by separation of fragments using IGISOL-JYFLTRAP double Penning trap system]; measured Eγ, Iγ, total absorption γ-spectrum (TAGS), βγ-coin using 18 NaI(Tl) crystals and a thin plastic β detector, fission products 96Sr, 96Y and 96mY, conversion electrons from the E0 g.s. transition from the 0+ excited state in 96Zr; deduced electron spectrum from a Monte Carlo simulation, experimental module-multiplicity-gated TAGS spectra, β-feedings to the g.s. and excited levels in 96Zr listed in the Supplemental Material of the paper, average γ , β, and conversion electron energies. Comparison with β feedings in the 96Y and 96mY decay datasets in the ENSDF database. Comparison of average γ , β, and conversion electron energies with those in the ENDF/B-VII.1 and JEFF-3.3 databases. 235U; deduced reactor antineutrino spectrum. 96mY; deduced as a major contributor to reactor decay heat in uranium-plutonium and thorium-uranium fuels around 10 s after fission pulses from reactor summation calculations.

Comparison with previous experimental results, and with theoretical predictions from quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA), based on finite range droplet model (FRDM) and the relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov (RHB) plus proton-neutron QRPA (pnQRPA).

The β-decay of 70Kr into 70Br: Restoration of the pseudo-SU(4) symmetry

The Radioactive Ion Beam Factory (RIBF) of the RIKEN Nishina Center using the BigRIPS fragment separator, the ZeroDegree Spectrometer, the WAS3ABI implantation station and the EURICA HPGe cluster array.

Comparison with previous experimental data.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(78Kr, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, Z versus A/Q identification plot for nuclei of Z=28-36 and A/Q=1.85-1.95, with fragments separated using the BigRIPS separator and ZeroDegree spectrometer at RIBF-RIKEN facility, with main emphasis on the production of 60,62Ge.

Determination of β-decay ground state feeding of nuclei of importance for reactor applications

RADIOACTIVITY 95Rb, 100,102mNb, 100,103Tc, 137I, 140Cs(β-); measured total absorption gamma spectra (TAGS) and 4πγ-β-coin using 18-fold segmented NaI(Tl) Decay Total Absorption γ-ray Spectrometer (DTAS), and a thick plastic scintillation detector for β radiation at the Ion Guide Isotope Separator On-Line (IGISOL) IV facility of the University of Jyvaskyla; deduced β- feeding to the ground states of daughter nuclei from TAGS as well as 4πγ-β-coin methods, and compared with evaluated data in the ENSDF database, and contribution to the reactor antineutrino spectra of 235U and 239Pu at different energies using the Nantes summation method. 87,88Br, 94Rb(β-); previously measured TAGS data used to standardize analysis procedures and determine various correction factors.

Comparison with Shell-model calculations using the PMMU and JUN45 interactions. Discussed test of the CVC hypothesis using the data in the present work.

Nuclear structure "southeast" of 208Pb: Isomeric states in 208Hg and 209Tl

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(238U, X)206Hg/208Hg/209Tl, E=1 GeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ, delayed γ, (particle)γ-coin, and half-lives using RISING array at GSI facility. 208Hg, 209Tl; deduced levels, J, π, isomers, and B(E2). Systematics of energies of first 2+ and 4+ states in even-even nuclei with Z=74-90, and N=112-138. Comparison with shell-model calculations.
