RADIOACTIVITY 76Cu(β-), (β-n)[from U(p, F), E=54 MeV using UCx target, followed by isobaric separation of fission fragments]; measured Eγ, Iγ, Eβ, βγ-coin, γγ-coin, T1/2 of 76Cu decay using four HPGe clover detectors at the LeRIBSS-HRIFL-ORNL facility. 76Zn; deduced levels, J, π, β feedings, logft. 76Cu; deduced T1/2 of g.s. decay, no evidence for an isomeric activity proposed earlier, and no γ rays detected in 75Zn from β-n decay of 76Cu. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with NUSHELLX shell-model calculations. Systematics of first excited 0+, 2+ and 4+ levels, and second 2+ in 66,68,70,72,74,76,78,80Zn.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 76Zn; calculated levels, J, π, B(M1), B(E2), relative γ intensities from low-lying and low-spin levels, β feedings using NUSHELLX with the jj44 model space and the JUN45 effective interaction. Comparison with experimental data.

Production of the most neutron-deficient Zn isotopes by projectile fragmentation of 78Kr

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(78Kr, X)54Zn/55Zn/56Zn, E=345 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, production σ using BigRIPS separator at the RIBF-RIKEN facility. Comparison of measured σ for Zn isotopes in this work, and for germanium, selenium, and krypton isotopes in other studies with predictions of the EPAX3 parametrization, LISE++ abrasion-ablation model using the HFB22 mass model and the AME2020 mass tables. Relevance to production of nuclei decaying by 2p radioactivity such as 54Zn.

RADIOACTIVITY 108,109Xe, 104,105Te(α)[from 54Fe(58Ni, X), E=250 MeV from the tandem accelerator of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), followed by separation of evaporation residues using Recoil Mass Separator (RMS)]; measured Eα, Iα, αα-correlations using an inorganic scintillator YAP:Ce for implanted nuclei, and a multiwire proportional chamber (MWPC) for α particles; deduced αα-correlations for the 109Xe to 105Te to 101Sn α-decay chain, and no conclusive trace observed for the 108Xe to 104Te to 100Sn α-decay chain, half-life of 108Xe decay, upper limit of 4 ns for the half-life of 104Te; estimated cross section for the production of 108Xe, an order of magnitude lower than the expectation based on earlier cross section measurements and the HIVAP fusion-evaporation code. 109I(p), 108,109Te(α); measured proton and α spectra, half-life of 109I decay. Comparison with data for 108Xe to 104Te to 100Sn α-decay chain reported by 2018Au04.

Systematics of level energies, J, π in 28,29,30,31,32Cl. NUCLEAR REACTIONS 58Ni(7Be, 7Be), (7Be, 3He), (7Be, α), E=22 MeV, [7Be beam from 1H(7Li, 7Be), E=34.2 MeV using EXOTIC facility at LNL-Legnaro]; measured reaction products, angular distributions of 3He and 4He, quasielastic σ(θ), breakup σ(θ) using ΔE-E telescopes of the DINEX setup, part of the GLORIA detector array; deduced correlation plot of energy versus detection angle θlab, quasielastic σ(θ), reconstructed Q value spectrum. 58Ni(7Be, 8Be), (7Be, 6Be), E=22 MeV; deduced σ(θ) for neutron pickup and stripping processes. Monte Carlo simulations for the elastic scattering process and inelastic excitation. Optical-model, continuum-discretized-coupled-channel (CDCC) calculations using the code FRESCO, and DWBA calculations. Discussed role of breakup, 3He-stripping, 1n-stripping, and 1n-pickup processes.
