RADIOACTIVITY 129,130,131Ag, 130,131,132,133Cd, 134Cd, 131,132,133,134,135,136In, 134,135,136,137,138,139Sn(β-), (β-n), (β-2n)[from 9Be(238U, F), E=345 MeV/nucleon]; measured implanted ions, neutrons, β, γ, (implants)β-, (implants)β(1n)- and (implants)β(2n)-correlations, T1/2 of decays of ground states using BRIKEN neutron counter with 140 3He-filled proportional counters, AIDA array of DSSSDs for implants and β decays, two Clover HPGe detectors for γ radiation, and two thick plastic scintillators; deduced T1/2, %β-n or Pn, %β-2n or P2n from simultaneous fits of β-, β-1n and β-2n-decay curves. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with theoretical predictions from quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA), based on finite range droplet model (FRDM) and the relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov (RHB) plus proton-neutron QRPA (pnQRPA).

Charge-changing cross sections for 42-51Ca and effect of charged-particle evaporation induced by neutron-removal reactions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(42Ca, X), (43Ca, X), (44Ca, X), (45Ca, X), (46Ca, X), (47Ca, X), (48Ca, X), (49Ca, X), (50Ca, X), (51Ca, X), E=280 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products; deduced charge-exchange σ. Comparison to Glauber-like model calculations. Observed significant decrease of charge-exchange cross-section with increase of point-proton radius and attributed this effect to attributed to the charged-particle evaporation induced by the neutron-removal reaction. Used the conclusions of the present work to re-analyze charge-exchange σ for Be, B, C, N, O, F, Si, Ti, Ca, Fe isotopes. BigRIPS fragment separator at RI Beam Factory (RIBF).

The β-decay of 70Kr into 70Br: Restoration of the pseudo-SU(4) symmetry

RADIOACTIVITY 70Kr(EC), (β+p) [from 9Be(78Kr, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon]; measured decay products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced γ-ray energies, partial level scheme, T1/2, log ft, B(GT), β-delayed proton emission probability, an approximate realization of pseudo-SU(4) symmetry in the system. Comparison with the proton-neutron quasiparticle random-phase approximation (pnQRPA) calculations. The Radioactive Ion Beam Factory (RIBF) of the RIKEN Nishina Center using the BigRIPS fragment separator, the ZeroDegree Spectrometer, the WAS3ABI implantation station and the EURICA HPGe cluster array.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(78Kr, X)54Zn/55Zn/56Zn, E=345 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, production σ using BigRIPS separator at the RIBF-RIKEN facility. Comparison of measured σ for Zn isotopes in this work, and for germanium, selenium, and krypton isotopes in other studies with predictions of the EPAX3 parametrization, LISE++ abrasion-ablation model using the HFB22 mass model and the AME2020 mass tables. Relevance to production of nuclei decaying by 2p radioactivity such as 54Zn.

RADIOACTIVITY 99In(EC), (β+), 101Sn(EC), (β+), (β+p)[from 9Be(124Xe, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon, followed by separation of fragments of interest using BigRIPS separator and the ZeroDegree spectrometer at RIBF-RIKEN facility]; measured β-correlated γ spectra, Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin using the WAS3ABi detector and the EURICA array; generated hypothetical βγ-coin and βγγ-coin matrices. 99Cd, 101In; deduced levels, J, π. 101Sn(β+p); analyzed intensity distributions of β-delayed proton emission branches as a function of the excitation energy; calculated partial half-lives of electromagnetic decay and proton emission. Comparison of level structure with phenomenological shell model using SR88MHJM interaction, and β+p decay with semi-empirical proton emission theory by Delion, Liotta, and Wyss 2006.

β-decay half-lives of 55 neutron-rich isotopes beyond the N = 82 shell gap

Comparison with previously available experimental half-lives, and with theoretical calculations using FRDM+QRPA, KTUY+GT2, RHB+pn-RQRPA, and DF+CQRPA models. 141Te(β-); calculated half-life and Gamow-Teller strengths using FRDM+QRPA(2019) model, and compared with experimental data. Discussed and calculated effects of new half-life data on r-process abundance.

RADIOACTIVITY 70Br(β+), (EC) [from 9Be(78Kr, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon at RIKEN's RILAC2-RRC-fRC-IRC-SRC acceleration system using BigRIPS separator and ZeroDegree spectrometer]; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ, Eβ, half-life of the 9+ isomer by βγ(t), and 0+ ground state by (70Br)β(t), γγ-, and βγ-coin using Wide-Range Active Silicon Strip Stopper array for β and ion detection (WAS3ABi), and EURICA array for γ detection. 70Se; deduced levels, J, π, β feedings, logf Ft, bands, Ft value for the superallowed decay of 70Br. Comparison with Shell-model calculations using the PMMU and JUN45 interactions. Discussed test of the CVC hypothesis using the data in the present work.

Comparison with previous experimental results, and with shell model calculations using NUSHELLX code and SLGM interaction. 100Sn; search for a core-excited isomer in 100Sn decaying by E2 proved negative; calculated upper limit for half-life and lower limit for Eγ of an hypothetical isomer in 100Sn decaying by E2.

New neutron-deficient isotopes from 78Kr fragmentation

Comparison of experimental cross sections with predictions from the EPAX3 parameterization. 63Se, 67Kr, 68Kr; newly identified nuclides. 59Ge, 63Se, 67Kr; candidates for 2p emitters. 58Ge, 62Se, 66Kr; deduced upper limit of cross sections, half-lives, search for these nuclides proved unsuccessful, consistent with unbound nature of these nuclei.

New decay scheme of the 13651Sb85 6- isomer

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(238U, F), E=345 MeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ, delayed γ, γγ-coin, isomer half-life by γ(t) at RIBF-RIKEN facility. 136Sb; deduced levels, 6- isomer, isomeric ratio, J, π, multipolarity, B(E2), configuration. Comparison with previous results, and with shell-model predictions.
