Source from ORNL with approx. 1.6 Bq activity obtained in late 1960, produced by irradiation of 144Cm in high-flux reactor. Decay measured with Ge detector and planar silicon (PIPS) detector.

RADIOACTIVITY 119,119mPd(β-)[from 253U(p, F), E=25 MeV]; measured Eβ, Iβ, Eγ, Iγ, βγ-coin, γγ-coin, γγ∓coin; deduced β-branching ratios, logft, T1/2. 252Cf(SF); measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ), γγγ-coin. 119Pd; levels, J, π, T1/2 for ground state and proposed 11/2- isomer. 119Ag; deduced levels, J, π, multipolarities, ICC, δ, structure of rotational band. Discovered 2 separate bands in 119Ag possibly feeded by 2 different β-decaying states in 119Pd. Systematics of low-energy excitations in odd-A isotopes of Rh, Ag, In, and selected low-energy levels in odd-A nuclei of cadmium (109Cd, 111Cd, 113Cd, 115Cd, 117Cd, 119Cd, 121Cd, 123Cd), the isotones of palladium. Isotopes of 119Pd were separated and purified using IGISOL technique and JYFLTRAP Penning trap. Gammas from 252Cf spontaneous fission were measured with Gammasphere array at ANL.

RADIOACTIVITY 130I(β-)[from 130Te(p, n), E=7.5 MeV]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ). 130Xe; deduced levels, J, π, δ, transition intensities, γγ-angular correlations. Uncertainty of the strongest transition improved by a factor 2. Comparison to other experimental data. Measurement with Gammasphere array consisted of 49 Compton-suppressed HPGe detectors (ANL). Source was produced by irradiation at the Brookhaven Tandem Van de Graaff facility. Estimated source strength was around 11 μCi.

Comparison with previous experimental results, and with large-scale shell-model calculations; discussed role of the ν9/2[404] extruder in change of deformation in this mass range. Systematics of excited 0+ low-lying states in N=50-64, Zn, Ge, Se, Kr, Sr, Zr, Ru; and in N=50, 52, Z=28-50 even-even isotopes.

RADIOACTIVITY 252Cf(SF); measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin using Gammasphere array at Argonne National Laboratory. 90,92,94Sr, 96Sr; deduced levels, J, π, γ-branching. Results from this experiment were mainly used as a countercheck of data from 235U(n, F) reaction. No separate Eγ, Iγ data given from this measurement.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 88,90,92,94Sr, 96Sr; calculated main proton and neutron components in wave functions of the levels in Sr isotopes, structure of first four 0+, first two 1+, first three 2+, first two 3+, and first 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7- and 9- levels in terms of main components, B(M1), occupation of proton orbitals in selected levels of 88Sr using large-scale shell-model.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 90Zr(7Li, 3np), E(cm)=same as above for reverse kinematic reaction; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin at Australian National Laboratory. 93Mo; deduced levels, non-observation of 2475- and 268-keV γ rays in γγ coincidences in the normal kinematics reaction consistent with NEEC interpretation in the inverse kinematic reaction study at Argonne.

Comparison of the observed β-decay spectrum with that from the decay scheme in the ENSDF database or Nuclear Data Sheets for 134Sb g.s. decay. Comparison of mean atomic electron loss in 134Sb decay with that from the decays of noble gases 6He, 23Ne, 35Ar, 41Ar, 85Kr and 133Xe. 134,134mSb; half-lives used from literature and those determined at CARIBU-ANL facility (reference 23 in this work).
