6H states studied in the 2H(8He, 4He) reaction and evidence of an extremely correlated character of the 5H ground state

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(8He, α)6H, E=26 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 8He beam produced in 9Be(11B, X), E=33.4 MeV/nucleon reaction, fragments separated using ACCULINNA-2 separator at FLNR-JINR-Dubna facility]; measured reaction products, Eα, Iα, neutrons, α(3H)-coin, α(3H)n-coin, angular distributions and TOF using ΔE-E-E telescopes of CsI(Tl) scintillators, position-sensitive chambers, and a neutron wall of 48 stilbene-crystal modules; analyzed resonance energy profiles and the momentum distributions of fragments of the sequential 6H to 5H(g.s.)+n to 3H+3n decay by direct four-body-decay and sequential-emission mechanisms; deduced missing mass spectrum, evidence for dineutron correlations in the decay of 5H g.s. 6H; deduced broad resonant states, widths, decay modes of resonances, energy distributions of 3H fragments and neutrons emitted by 6H states, differential cross section, no evidence for a 2.6-2.9 MeV resonance reported earlier; discussed energy of the ground state of 6H with no definite conclusion. Monte Carlo simulations. 2H(10Be, α)8Li, E=42 MeV/nucleon; reaction used for calibration of 6H spectrum.

Mass measurements of As, Se, and Br nuclei, and their implication on the proton-neutron interaction strength toward the N=Z line

ATOMIC MASSES 69As, 70,71Se, 71Br; measured mass-to-charge ratio spectra using the multiple-reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometer (MR-TOF-MS) at the Fragment Separator (FRS) at GSI; deduced mass excesses and compared to evaluated data in AME-2016, and proton-neutron interaction (δVpn) for odd-odd nuclei along the N=Z line above Z=29. Isotopes produced via fragmentation in 9Be(124Xe, X), E=982 MeV/nucleon, followed by separation of fragments using FRS separator at GSI.

Resonant states in 7H: Experimental studies of the 2H(8He, 3He) reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(8He, 3He)7H, E=26 MeV/nucleon; 2H(10Be, 3He)9Li, [secondary 8He and 10Be beams from 9Be(11B, X), E=33.4 MeV/nucleon, and 9Be(15N, X), E=49.7 MeV/nucleon, respectively, followed by fragment separation by ACCULINNA-2 fragment separator at the U-400M cyclotron of FLNR, JINR, Dubna]; measured recoil 3He particles, (3He)(3H)- and (3He)n-coin using two identical ΔE-E-E single-sided silicon-detector telescopes for 3He, a square array of 16 CsI(Tl) crystals for tritons from the decay of 7H, and a neutron spectrometer of 48 organic scintillator modules for the (10Be, 3He) reaction. 7H; deduced missing mass spectra, center-of-mass angular distributions, levels, resonances, J, π, widths. 9Li; deduced excitation spectrum. Comparison with previous experimental results. Angular distributions analyzed using DWBA/FRESCO calculations.

Three-body correlations in direct reactions: Example of 6Be populated in the (p, n) reaction

Monte Carlo simulations. Relevance to high-statistics few-body correlation data to extract detailed information on the reaction mechanism.

Deep excursion beyond the proton dripline. II. Toward the limits of existence of nuclear structure

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 28,29,30Cl, 29,30,31Ar; analyzed experimental results obtained in companion paper 2018Mu18; deduced large Thomas-Ehrmann shifts. 25,26,27,28,29,30Cl, 26,27,28,29,30,31Ar; calculated S(p) for Cl and S(2p) for Ar isotopes and compared with available experimental values, level energies in 26,27Cl and compared to mirror levels in isobaric partners 26F and 27Ne. 24,25,26S; estimated S(2p), S(3p), S(4p) values. Systematics of odd-even staggering energies in 19,20,22,24,26,28Ne, 19,21,23,25,27F, 21,22Mg, 23,24Si, 26S, which are isotones of 27,28Ar.

RADIOACTIVITY 26,27,28,29,31Ar, 26,27,28,29,31Cl(p); calculated widths and T1/2 of Ar isotopes. This paper is a continuation of the analyses of experimental data reported in their companion paper 2018Mu18.

Deep excursion beyond the proton dripline. I. Argon and chlorine isotope chains

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(31Ar, X), E=620 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 31Ar beam from fragmentation of 885 MeV/nucleon 36Ar primary beam]; measured proton and heavy-ion spectra, (heavy ion)p- and (heavy ion)pp-coin (proton)(heavy ion)(θ) using double-sided silicon micro-strip detectors for protons and optical time projection chamber for stopped heavy ions at SIS-FRS facility of GSI, a pilot version of the EXPERT (EXotic Particle Emission and Radioactivity by Tracking) setup planned by the Super-FRS Experiment Collaboration of the FAIR project at GSI. 28,30Cl, 29,31Ar; deduced proton-unbound states, S(2p) for 29,31Ar, and S(p) for 28Cl. 28,30Cl; identified new isotopes, unbound to one-proton emission, deduced ground-state energies. Systematics of level energies, J, π in 28,29,30,31,32Cl.
