β-delayed charged-particle decay of 22, 23Si

RADIOACTIVITY 22,23Si(β+), (β+p), (β+2p); 23Si(β+3p), (β+α)[22,23Si activities from Ni(28Si, X), E=45 MeV/nucleon at the Texas A and M University K500 superconducting cyclotron, followed by separation of fragments using momentum achromat recoil separator (MARS)]; measured reaction fragments, particle spectra, E(p), I(p) using optical-readout time-projection chamber (OTPC). 23Al, 22Mg, 21Na; deduced levels, J, π. 22Si, 23Si; deduced T1/2 of ground states, and absolute branching ratios for the observed decay modes; calculated Gamow-Teller matrix elements using angular-momentum-projected (AMP) method with DFT-NCCI module. 23Al; calculated levels, J, π using multireference density-functional-rooted (DFT) calculations, and compared with shell-model calculations in literature. Comparison with previous experimental results.

Production of the most neutron-deficient Zn isotopes by projectile fragmentation of 78Kr

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(78Kr, X)54Zn/55Zn/56Zn, E=345 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, production σ using BigRIPS separator at the RIBF-RIKEN facility. Comparison of measured σ for Zn isotopes in this work, and for germanium, selenium, and krypton isotopes in other studies with predictions of the EPAX3 parametrization, LISE++ abrasion-ablation model using the HFB22 mass model and the AME2020 mass tables. Relevance to production of nuclei decaying by 2p radioactivity such as 54Zn.

β-delayed proton emission from 26P and 27S

RADIOACTIVITY 26P, 27S(β+p), (β+2p)[from 9Be(32S, X), E=51.3 MeV/nucleon using ACCULINNA fragment separator at FLNR-Dubna facility]; measured E(p), I(p), (implants)(proton), β+p and β+2p events using gaseous optical time projection chamber (OTPC) detector, half-lives; deduced branching ratios for β+p and β+2p decay modes. 27P; deduced levels, J, π. Comparison of decay branching ratios and half-lives with previous experimental values. Discussed γ-to-proton emission probability ratio Γγp relevant to 26Si(p, γ)27P reaction rate.
