New narrow resonances observed in the unbound nucleus 15F

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(14O, p), E=7.64 MeV/nucleon; 1H(14O, 2p), E=7.42 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products Ep, Ip, Eγ, Iγ, protons angular distributions, pp-coin, γγ-coin, pγ-coin; deduced σ(θ), resonances properties of 14O+p system - energy, spin and width, spectroscopic factors, major amplitudes of channels. 15F; deduced levels, J, π, configurations. Data has been analyzed and interpreted in the framework of the Gamow shell model (GSM) with the coupled-channel representation (GSMCC). Beam provided by SPIRAL1 facility (GANIL). Detectors: MUST2 (telescope composed of DSSD and CsI array) for (14O, p) reaction and MUGAST array (MUST2+VAMOS magnetic spectrometer+AGATA HPGE-array).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(8B, 7Be), E=30 MeV, [secondary 8B beam from 3He(6Li, X)7Li/7Be/8B reaction using TwinSol facility at the University of Notre Dame FM tandem accelerator]; measured reaction products and elastically scattered particles, differential σ(θ) using Si telescopes, time-of-flight ΔE-E spectra; deduced direct to total reaction cross section, and compared with previous experimental σ ratios for 209Bi+6He, 58Ni+8B, and 28Si+7Be reactions, breakup cross section for the 208Pb+8B system at deep sub-barrier energies. Comparison with CDCC calculations, with Coulomb plus nuclear potentials, and Coulomb potentials only.

Comparison with four-body continuum discretized coupled-channel (CDCC) formalism.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(31Ar, X), E=620 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 31Ar beam from fragmentation of 885 MeV/nucleon 36Ar primary beam]; measured proton and heavy-ion spectra, (heavy ion)p- and (heavy ion)pp-coin (proton)(heavy ion)(θ) using double-sided silicon micro-strip detectors for protons and optical time projection chamber for stopped heavy ions at SIS-FRS facility of GSI, a pilot version of the EXPERT (EXotic Particle Emission and Radioactivity by Tracking) setup planned by the Super-FRS Experiment Collaboration of the FAIR project at GSI. 28,30Cl, 29,31Ar; deduced proton-unbound states, S(2p) for 29,31Ar, and S(p) for 28Cl. 28,30Cl; identified new isotopes, unbound to one-proton emission, deduced ground-state energies. Systematics of level energies, J, π in 28,29,30,31,32Cl. Systematics of odd-even staggering energies in 21,22,23Ne, 22,24,25,26,28,30Mg, 25,26Si, 28,29S, 23,25,27,29,31Al, 21,23,25,27,29Na, which are isotones of 29,30,31Ar. NUCLEAR REACTIONS 58Ni(7Be, 7Be), (7Be, 3He), (7Be, α), E=22 MeV, [7Be beam from 1H(7Li, 7Be), E=34.2 MeV using EXOTIC facility at LNL-Legnaro]; measured reaction products, angular distributions of 3He and 4He, quasielastic σ(θ), breakup σ(θ) using ΔE-E telescopes of the DINEX setup, part of the GLORIA detector array; deduced correlation plot of energy versus detection angle θlab, quasielastic σ(θ), reconstructed Q value spectrum. 58Ni(7Be, 8Be), (7Be, 6Be), E=22 MeV; deduced σ(θ) for neutron pickup and stripping processes. Monte Carlo simulations for the elastic scattering process and inelastic excitation. Optical-model, continuum-discretized-coupled-channel (CDCC) calculations using the code FRESCO, and DWBA calculations. Discussed role of breakup, 3He-stripping, 1n-stripping, and 1n-pickup processes.
