NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(238U, 239U)8Be, E=5.88 MeV/nucleon; measured fission fragments of 239U, α-α coin using a double-sided segmented silicon telescope SPIDER, mass and charge distribution of fission fragments, yields of fission fragment using VAMOS++ spectrometer at GANIL; deduced fragment velocity and kinetic energy, fragment neutron excess and multiplicity, average total kinetic energy of fission fragments, total excitation energy and elongation at scission. Comparison with evaluated data in ENDF/B-VIII.0, with predictions of GEF code, and with similar observables from the fission of 240Pu.
