First spectroscopic study of odd-odd 78Cu

RADIOACTIVITY 78Ni(β-)[from 9Be(238U, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγ-coin, γγ-coin; deduced β-feeding, γ-transition intensities. 78Cu; deduced levels J, π, T1/2 of isomer state. Comparison with Monte Carlo shell model (MCSM) calculations. Wide-range active silicon-strip stopper array for beta and ion detection (WAS3ABi) with EURICA HPGe cluster det ector array at RIBF (RIKEN).

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 78Cu; calculated levels, J, π, occupation numbers of proton and neutron orbitals, excitation energies of the negative-parity multiplets, configurations. Monte Carlo shell model calculations performed using A3DA-m interaction. Comparison with experimental data.

The decay of the 21.47-MeV stretched resonance in 13C: A precise probe of the open nuclear quantum system description

Comparison with predictions from the Gamow Shell Model (GSM), which was used to describe the stretched resonance in terms of its energy, width, electromagnetic transition strengths and decay pattern. New narrow resonances observed in the unbound nucleus 15F

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(14O, p), E=7.64 MeV/nucleon; 1H(14O, 2p), E=7.42 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products Ep, Ip, Eγ, Iγ, protons angular distributions, pp-coin, γγ-coin, pγ-coin; deduced σ(θ), resonances properties of 14O+p system - energy, spin and width, spectroscopic factors, major amplitudes of channels. 15F; deduced levels, J, π, configurations. Data has been analyzed and interpreted in the framework of the Gamow shell model (GSM) with the coupled-channel representation (GSMCC). Beam provided by SPIRAL1 facility (GANIL). Detectors: MUST2 (telescope composed of DSSD and CsI array) for (14O, p) reaction and MUGAST array (MUST2+VAMOS magnetic spectrometer+AGATA HPGE-array).

Charged-particle branching ratios above the neutron threshold in 19F: Constraining 15N production in core-collapse supernovae

COMPILATION 19F; compiled data from the ENSDF database and from different nuclear reactions in literature for levels, J, π, Γ, Γp, and Γα.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 19F(p, p'), E=16, 15 MeV; measured E(p), I(p), πα- and pp-coin using the Q3D magnetic spectrograph at Munich at E(p)=16 MeV, and Enge split-pole magnetic spectrometer, and double-sided silicon strip detector (DSSSD) detectors at Orsay at E(p)=15 MeV. 19F; deduced levels between 10.091 and 10.676 MeV in the region of astrophysical interest, width, branching ratios for proton and α decays from levels above the neutron binding energy in 19F. 15N, 18O; deduced energies of the emitted particles, matrices of experimental and simulated coincidence events from α and proton decays of neutron-unbound states in 19F. Relevance to 18F(n, α)15N and 18F(n, p)18O reaction rates for abundances of 15N and 18O in the helium-burning shell during core-collapse supernovae.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb, 12C(70Zn, 70Zn'), E=51.8 MeV/nucleon; 208Pb, 12C(68Ni, 68Ni'), E=40.8, 47.68 MeV, [secondary 68Ni beam from 9Be(70Zn, X), E=60 MeV/nucleon primary reaction, followed by separation of fragments using LISE3 spectrometer at GANIL and implanted in a plastic detector]; measured Doppler corrected γ spectra, Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ), scattered particles, (70Zn)γ- and 68Niγ-coin using 46 hexagonal BaF2 crystals for γ detection, and position-sensitive gas-filled detectors for particles. 68Ni, 70Zn; deduced levels, σ, B(E2) and deformation parameters for the first and second 2+ states from intermediate energy Coulomb excitation; calculated Potential-energy surface in (β, γ) plane using constrained Hartree-Fock minimization in the shell-model basis, levels, J, π of 70Zn using shell model, generator coordinate method (GCM), and triaxial AMP, and compared to experimental level structure.

Persistence of the Z=28 shell gap in A=75 isobars: Identification of a possible (1/2-)μs isomer in 75Co and β decay to 75Ni

RADIOACTIVITY 75mCo(IT); 75Co(β-), (β-n)[from in-flight fission in 9Be(238U, F), E=345 MeV/nucleon, followed by separation of fragments of interest using BigRIPS separator and ZeroDegree spectrometer (ZDS) at RIBF-RIKEN facility]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγ- and βγγ-coin, half-life of 75mCo decay by (ion)γ(t) using active beam stopper WAS3ABi with double-sided silicon strips detectors (DSSSDs) for fragment and β detection and EURICA array of 12 clusters HPGe detectors for γ rays. 74,75Ni; deduced levels, J, π, multipolarities of two transitions, configurations, β feedings, β-n feedings, logft values. 75Co; deduced lower limit of %β-n. 75mCo; deduced isomer, energy, J, π, transition multipolarity and half-life of the micro-sec isomer. Comparison with the large-scale shell-model calculations using PFSDG-U interaction in the pf-sdg space. Systematics of low-lying levels in 69,71,73,75Co.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 84mRb(γ, γ'), E=3.5 keV; calculated rate of nuclear excitation by electron transition (NEET) for the 6- to 5- transition in 84Rb as a function of the plasma temperature for the M1 and E2 components, total excitation rate, charge state distribution of an 84Rb plasma at 400 eV, M1 NEET rate as a function of the energy uncertainty and the charge state of 84Rb. Relativistic average atom model (RAAM), and multiconfiguration Dirac Fock (MCDF) atomic calculations using the ISOMEX computer code. 76Ge(11B, 3n)84Rb, E=40 MeV; measured Eγ, γγ-coin using the ORGAM Ge detector array at Orsay Tandem accelerator facility, precise energy of the 219-keV γ ray; deduced precise energy of 3.5-keV transition between the 466.6, 5- and 463.6, 6- levels.

RADIOACTIVITY 84mRb(IT)[from 85Rb(γ, n), E=bremsstrahlung photons from the ELSA electron beam facility of the CEA/DAM/DIF]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, precise energies of 215.6-, 248.0-, and 463.6-keV γ rays.
