Core of 25F studied by the 25F(-p) proton-removal reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(25F, 24O), E=77 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products; deduced longitudinal momentum distribution, proton removal σ, spectroscopic factor. Results are interpreted within the framework of the Particle-Vibration Coupling (PVC) model, of a d5/2 proton coupled to a quadrupole phonon of an effective 24O core. Comparison to shell model predictions. Reaction products analyzed by spectrometer S800 (NSCL). Secondary 25F beam from 48Ca fragmentation on Be target at accelerated through the Coupled Cyclotron Facility.

Secondaries beam produced in 9Be(16O, X), E=150 MeV/nucleon reaction and delivered to the target via A1900 fragment separator (NSCL-MSU).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 66Zn(γ, γ'), (polarized γ, γ'), E=7.5, 13.4, MeV unpolarized bremsstrahlung from γELBE facility, and E=4.3, 4.4, 4.55, 4.7, 4.85, 5.0, 5.15, 5.3, 5.45, 5.6, 5.75, 5.9, 6.1, 6.3, 6.5, 6.7, 6.9, 7.1, 7.3, 7.5, 7.7, 7.9, 8.15, 8.4, 8.65, 8.9, 9.15, 9.4, 9.65, 9.9 MeV quasimonoenergetic and linearly polarized photon beams from HIγS facility; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ(θ), γ(linear polarization) using four escape-suppressed HPGe detectors at γELBE and using two HPGe detectors at HIγS. 66Zn; deduced 128 J=1 levels up to 11.02 MeV excitation, pygmy dipole resonances (PDR), J, π, energy-integrated scattering σ, Γ02/Γ, photoabsorption σ, photon strength functions, B(M1). Comparison of measured photoabsorption cross sections with experimental values in 54Fe(γ, γ'), and with calculations using TALYS code as in the 2019 library, and from the three Lorentz functions (TLO). Comparison of B(M1) strengths with shell-model calculations using the jj44c Hamiltonian. Comparison of deduced photon strength functions with those from 64Ni(p, p'γ).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(27Ne, 2p)25O*, E=101.3 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 27Ne beam mixed with other light nuclei from fragmentation of 140 MeV/nucleon 48Ca primary beam from the Coupled Cyclotron Facility, and separated by A1900 Fragment Separator at NSCL-MSU]; measured E(n), 22O fragments, (22O)n-coin, four-body (22O+3n), three-body (22O+2n), and two-body (22O+1n) ungated and gated decay-energy and hit-multiplicity spectra using the Modular Neutron Array (MoNA) and Large multi-Institutional Scintillator Array (LISA); deduced mass of 25O from the invariant of the sum of the energy-momentum four-vectors of an 22O fragment and the three associated neutrons emitted from the excited states of 25O. 25O; deduced neutron-unbound levels, resonances, decay via three-neutron sequential emission to levels in 24O, 23O and 22O. Comparison with shell-model and eikonal calculations for two-proton removal reaction from 27Ne.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 23,24,25O; calculated levels using Gamow shell model with the density-matrix renormalization-group (GSM-DMRG) method, and a continuum shell model (CSM). Comparison with experimental data.

Search for excited states in 25O

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(24O, 25O), E=83.4 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 24O beam from 9Be(48Ca, X) primary reaction using A1900 fragment separator at NSCL-MSU facility]; measured 24O particles by a position and energy sensitive charged particle detector and separated based on energy loss and time-of-flight, and neutrons from 25O decay by the MoNA-LISA detector array. 25O; deduced two-body (24O+n) decay energy spectrum by invariant-mass spectroscopy technique, neutron-unbound ground state, L-transfer, asymptotic normalization coefficients, cross section and width of a possible 1/2+ resonance above the ground state. Comparisons with previous experimental results, and with theoretical calculations using complex-energy Gamow Shell Model (GSM) and Density Matrix Renormalization Group (DMRG) method with a finite-range two-body interaction.
