Population of 13Be in a nucleon exchange reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(13B, 13Be), E=71 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 13B beam from 9Be(18O, X), E=120 MeV/nucleon primary reaction]; measured E(n), I(n) from the decay of 13Be into 12B+n, decay energy spectrum reconstructed by invariant-mass method using A1900 fragment separator and MoNA-LISA array at NSCL-MSU. Nucleon (-1p, +1n) exchange reaction. 13Be; deduced levels, resonances, J, π, widths, relative populations. Comparison with previous experimental data.

Low-lying neutron unbound states in 12Be

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(13B, 12Be), E=71 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 13B beam from 9Be(18O, X), E=120 MeV/nucleon primary reaction; measured particle and neutron spectra, (12Be)n-, (11Be)2n-coin using A1900 fragment separator and MoNA-LISA array for neutron and fragment detection at NSCL-MSU facility. 12Be; deduced decay energy, level energy, resonance, L-value, J, π, width, one-neutron decay, no evidence for the 2n-decay channel to 10Be. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with continuum shell model calculation.
