Relevance to 0νββ decay mode of 150Nd. RADIOACTIVITY 150Nd(2β-); calculated nuclear matrix elements (NMEs) for 0νββ decay to the g.s. and the first excited 0+ state in 150Sm using interacting boson model-2 (IBM-2), and compared with predictions of energy density-functional (EDF) method; deduced strong constraints for the Majorana parameters.

Comparison of measured photoabsorption cross sections with experimental values in 54Fe(γ, γ'), and with calculations using TALYS code as in the 2019 library, and from the three Lorentz functions (TLO). Comparison of B(M1) strengths with shell-model calculations using the jj44c Hamiltonian. Comparison of deduced photon strength functions with those from 64Ni(p, p'γ).

C 90, 055501 (2014) M.F.Kidd, J.H.Esterline, S.W.Finch, W.Tornow Two-neutrino double-β decay of 150Nd to excited final states in 150Sm RADIOACTIVITY 150Nd(2β-); measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, half-lives using two HPGe detectors at TUNL Low Background Counting Facility (LBCF), and at Kimballton Underground Research Facility (KURF); deduced half-life for 2νββ decay to the ground state of 150Sm, and lower limits of half-lives for 2νββ decay to the second and third 2+ states and second excited 0+ states in 150Sm. Comparison with previous experimental results.
