Testing shell-model interactions at high excitation energy and low spin: Nuclear resonance fluorescence in 74Ge
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 74Ge(polarized γ, γ'), E=3.1-5.44 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ); deduced integrated exclusive scattering σ(E). 74Ge; deduced levels, J, π, branching ratios, transition intensities. Comparison to large-scale shell-model calculations with jj44b and JUN45 effective interactions. γ3-setup consisting of 6 HPGe detectors. Quasi-monoenergetic linearly polarized photon beams produced via Compton backscattering and provided by the High Intensity Gamma-Ray Source at TUNL.
