Core of 25F studied by the 25F(-p) proton-removal reaction
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(25F, 24O), E=77 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products; deduced longitudinal momentum distribution, proton removal σ, spectroscopic factor. Results are interpreted within the framework of the Particle-Vibration Coupling (PVC) model, of a d5/2 proton coupled to a quadrupole phonon of an effective 24O core. Comparison to shell model predictions. Reaction products analyzed by spectrometer S800 (NSCL). Secondary 25F beam from 48Ca fragmentation on Be target at accelerated through the Coupled Cyclotron Facility.
