Comparison with available evaluated data in AME2016, and with shell model calculations using GX1A Hamiltonian for Sc isotopes. Discussion of upper-Z limit for N=34 subshell closure and lower-Z limit for N=40 subshell, and impact on electron-capture cooling in neutron star crusts. Isotopes produced in 9Be(82Se, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon reaction.

Search for the 1/2+ intruder state in 35P

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H(36S, 3He), E=15.3 MeV/nucleon; measured E(3He), I(3He), σ(θ) using deuterated-plastic targets and HELIOS solenoidal spectrometer at the ATLAS-ANL facility. 35P; deduced levels, J, π, spectroscopic factors, configurations, 0p0h waveform amplitude of the 36S ground state, no candidate peak for 2p2h bandhead and a deformed intruder state in 35P. Angular distribution data analyzed using PTOLEMY DWBA calculations with possible combinations of optical potentials. Comparison with previous experimental results. Systematics of experimental and shell model results for energies of 2p2h bandheads for the N=20 isotones: 32Mg, 33Al, 34Si, 35P, 36S.

RADIOACTIVITY 16F(p)[from proton decay of excited state in 17Ne]; deduced width of the ground state from magnitude of the final-state interactions between the protons emitted by the excited state of 17Ne. Comparison with previous direct measurement of the width of the ground state.

Time-of-flight mass measurements of neutron-rich chromium isotopes up to N=40 and implications for the accreted neutron star crust

ATOMIC MASSES 59,60,61,62,63,64Cr; measured mass excesses by time-of-flight (TOF) method using 9Be(82Se, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon for production of Si to Zn isotopes and A1900 fragment separator and S800 spectrograph for fragment separation and analysis at NSCL-MSU. TOF versus mass contour plot obtained for Ar (A=44-49), K (A=47-52), Ca (A=49-55), Sc (A=52-58), Ti (A=54-60), V (A=57-63), Cr (A=59-66), Mn (A=62-70) and Fe (A=64-71) isotopes. Analyzed S(2n) trends and compared to AME-2012. Comparison with state-of-the-art shell-model calculations using modified Lenzi-Nowacki-Poves-Sieja interaction in the fp shell, and with AME-2012 data. Mass of 64Cr used in accreted neutron star crust network calculations, and deduced reduction in strength depth of electron-capture heating from A=64 isobaric chain.

Interplay between sequential and prompt two-proton decay from the first excited state of 16Ne

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(17Ne, 16Ne), E=57.6 MeV/nucleon; analyzed results of experimental measurements reported in their 2014Br19 work carried out at NSCL-MSU. 16Ne; analyzed relative energy spectra and few-body correlations of 14O+2p and 13N+3p events; deduced level energies and widths of g.s. and first 2+ state from kinematic analysis of 14O+p+p events, and those of higher levels from analysis of the 13N+p+p+p events. Sequential and diprotonlike decays deduced from correlation pattern reproduced in three-body 14O+p+p calculations. 15F, 14O, 13N; deduced levels, J, π from particle decays of states in 16Ne.
