Onset of deformation at N = 112 in Bi nuclei

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 181Ta(20Ne, 6n)195Bi, E=130 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, delayed γγ-coin, DCO, γγ(linear pol) using the INGA array. 195Bi; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarity, bands, configurations. Comparison with total Routhian surface calculations using Woods-Saxon potential. Systematics of level energies in A=190-206 odd-odd Bi nuclei and even-even Pb nuclei. Discussed nuclear shape, and onset of deformation.
