High spin states of 37Ar

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 27Al(12C, np), E=40 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO and ADO), γγ(linear polarization) using the INGA array at the 14UD Pelletron accelerator of TIFR-Mumbai. 37Ar; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, γ-branching ratios, multipolarities, mixing ratios, B(E1), B(M1), B(E2), B(M2). Comparison with large basis shell model calculations using OXBASH code with SDPFMW interaction, and with simple two-level mixing calculation. Comparison with previous experimental results.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 37Ar; calculated levels, J, π, γ-branching ratios, wave functions amplitudes and partitions for the positive- and negative-parity states, B(E1), B(M1), B(E2), B(M2), level half-lives, 0p-0h configuration mixing in yrast levels. Large basis shell model calculations using OXBASH code with SDPFMW interaction, and simple two-level mixing calculations. Comparison with experimental data.
