NUCLEAR REACTIONS 89Y(7Li, 7Li), (7Li, 6Li), (7Li, 2α), (7Li, dα), (7Li, tα), (7Li, 6He), E=23, 28, 30 MeV; measured charged particles, particle identification spectrum for protons, deuterons, tritons, α, 6He, and 6,7Li, angular distributions of charged particles, αα-, αd-, and αt-coin, σ(E), differential σ(θ, E), σ(E) for prompt and resonant breakup of 7Li using silicon ΔE-E telescope for charged particle detection at BARC-TIFR Pelletron-Linac facility; deduced that observed cross sections at low target excitations for nucleon transfer reactions correlate with the vacancies in the valence orbitals. Comparison with continuum discretized coupled channel (CDCC), and coupled-channel Born approximation (CCBA) calculations, and with results from previous similar experiments using 93Nb target.

Comparison with calculated production cross sections using time-dependent Hartree-Fock (TDHF) theory and recently developed method TDHF+GEMINI, and secondary deexcitation processes using a statistical model GEMINI++. Discussed possible interplay between fusion-fission, deep-inelastic, multinucleon transfer, and particle evaporation processes.
