The decay of the 21.47-MeV stretched resonance in 13C: A precise probe of the open nuclear quantum system description

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 13C(p, p'), E=135 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced γ-ray energies and relative intensities, partial decay scheme , branching ratios, resonances. Comparison with predictions from the Gamow Shell Model (GSM), which was used to describe the stretched resonance in terms of its energy, width, electromagnetic transition strengths and decay pattern. The Cyclotron Centre Bronowice (CCB) at IFJ PAN in Krakow.

γ decay to the ground state from the excitations above the neutron threshold in the 208Pb(p, p'γ) reaction at 85 MeV

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(p, p'γ), E=85 MeV; measured scattered protons, Eγ, Iγ, pγ-coin, angular distributions of protons using eight large-volume BaF2 detectors of the HECTOR array for γ radiation, and 16 triple telescopes of the KRATTA array for light charged particles at the Cyclotron Centre Bronowice in Krakow; deduced branching ratios for the γ-ray decay to the g.s. from the isovector giant dipole resonance (IVGDR) and isoscalar giant quadrupole resonance (ISGQR) in 208Pb. DWBA analysis of angular distribution data for 208Pb(p, p') using FRESCO code.

Probing isospin mixing with the giant dipole resonance in the 60Zn compound nucleus

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 32Si(28Si, X)60Zn*, E=86, 110 MeV; 32Si(30Si, X)62Zn*, E=75, 98 MeV; measured high-energy Eγ, Iγ using GALILEO array of 25 HPGe detectors and ten LaBr3(Ce) scintillators at the Tandem accelerator facility of INFN-Legnaro. 60,62Zn; deduced GDR parameters, Coulomb spreading widths, isospin mixing parameter at zero temperature and the isospin-symmetry-breaking correction for beta decay by analyzing experimental γ-spectra with statistical model calculations using a version of CASCADE code that included isospin formalism. Comparison of Coulomb spreading widths with the values for other mass regions deduced from GDR γ-decay measurements in other compound-nucleus reactions.

DWBA analysis for the pygmy dipole states using microscopically calculated form factors based on transition densities from RQRPA and optical potentials. 140Ce; deduced levels, J, π, 1- pygmy (PDR) states, isoscalar energy-weighted sum rule (ISEWSR), PDR strengths, isospin character of the dipole states. Comparison with experimental results from (γ, γ') and (α, α') studies.
