Charge-changing cross sections for 42-51Ca and effect of charged-particle evaporation induced by neutron-removal reactions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(42Ca, X), (43Ca, X), (44Ca, X), (45Ca, X), (46Ca, X), (47Ca, X), (48Ca, X), (49Ca, X), (50Ca, X), (51Ca, X), E=280 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products; deduced charge-exchange σ. Comparison to Glauber-like model calculations. Observed significant decrease of charge-exchange cross-section with increase of point-proton radius and attributed this effect to attributed to the charged-particle evaporation induced by the neutron-removal reaction. Used the conclusions of the present work to re-analyze charge-exchange σ for Be, B, C, N, O, F, Si, Ti, Ca, Fe isotopes. BigRIPS fragment separator at RI Beam Factory (RIBF).

Masses of neutron-rich 52-54Sc and 54, 56Ti nuclides: The N=32 subshell closure in scandium

ATOMIC MASSES 52,53,54Sc, 54,56Ti; measured mass excesses using isochronous mass spectrometry at CRSe-HIRFL, Lanzhou. Isotopes produced in 9Be(86Kr, X), E=460.65 MeV/nucleon reaction and separated using RIBLL2. Comparison with AME-2012 evaluation, and results from six previous experiments, and with valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group (VS-IMSRG) calculations. Systematics of S(2n) values in N=27-34 K, Ca, Sc, Ti isotopic chains, and those of empirical shell gaps in N=24-34 K, Ca, Sc, Ti isotopic chains and Z=19-25 N=32 isotones.

ATOMIC MASSES 43Ti, 44,44m,45V, 46,47Cr, 48,49Mn, 50,51Fe, 52,52mCo, 54Ni, 56Cu; measured time revolution spectra, and mass excesses using isochronous mass spectrometry (IMS) technique using Cooler Storage Ring (CSRm) at HIRFL-Lanzhou. Comparison with AME-2012 evaluation, and with predictions of several mass models. 52,52mCo, 44,44mV; deduced precise energies of the isomeric states from direct mass measurements, and compared with previously known values. 52,52mCo, 52Mn; deduced revised level energies in 52Co from new mass measurements for 52,52mCo and known level energies in 52Mn mirror nucleus. 56Co, 56Cu; deduced revised 56Cu level energies from new mass measurement for 56Cu and using known level energies of 56Co mirror nucleus. 52Co, 52Fe, 52Mn, 52Cr; analyzed quadratic and cubic fit coefficients of the isobaric multiplet mass equation (IMME). Discussed impact of new mass measurements on different aspects in nuclear structure. Isotopes produced in 9Be(58Ni, X), E=467.91 MeV/nucleon reaction, and fragments separated using RIBLL2 separator at Lanzhou.

RADIOACTIVITY 192mOs(IT)[from 9Be(197Au, X), E=478-492 MeV/nucleon]; measured half-life of the highly-charged stored ions using Schottky mass spectrometry in Experimental Storage Ring (ESR) of the isomeric state of 192Os at UNILAC and SIS-18 heavy-ion accelerators of GSI. Comparison with theoretical deformation parameter β2 versus mass plot using double-folding model (DFM) calculation combined with antisymmetrized molecular dynamics (AMD) calculation. 37Mg; deduced deformed halo effect from observed enhanced cross section, comparison with DFM calculation based on the deformed Woods-Saxon (DWS) model; collapse of N=28 magic shell for neutrons.

Investigated correlations between S(2n) and energies of first 2+ states in even-even N=84-124, Z=62-78 isotopes; deduced collectivity. Systematics of S(2n) values for even N=100-124, odd Z=67-77.
