MICRON double-sided Si-strip detector (DSSD) used to measure the recoil protons.

Comparison with Glauber model predictions using shell-model spectroscopic factors.

Relevance to role of skin thicknesses in constraining the parameters of the equation of state (EOS) of isospin asymmetric nuclear matter.

Comparison with previous experimental values, and theoretical calculations for two-neutron removal σ based on eikonal-model and shell-model structure information. Systematics of odd-even staggering in two-neutron removal σ from 15,16,17,18,19,20C projectiles.

Comparison to predictions based on the eikonal reaction model with shell-model structure inputs, and with previous experimental data for 9Be(16C, 15B), E=75 MeV/nucleon reaction. Discussed energy dependence of the spectroscopic reduction factor, and the role of surface neutrons as spectators.
