Search for the origin of wobbling motion in the A ≈ 130 region: The case of 131Xe

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 130Te(α, 3nγ), E=38 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ). 131Xe; deduced levels, J, π, δ, mixing ratios, polarization asymmetries, γ-rays deexcitation from the oriented states (DCO) ratio, intruder νh11/2 band structure, rotational bands, yrast bands, signature splittings, high-spin states. Comparison to triaxial particle rotor model (TPRM) and triaxial projected shell model (TPSM) calculations. Systematics of the bands structure, signature splittings - 127Xe, 131Xe, 133Ba, 135Ce. No experimental signatures of the wobbling excitation were found in the study. Seven Compton-suppressed clover HPGe detectors of the Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) at K-130 cyclotron of the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC, Kolkata).

Investigation of the low- and medium-spin level structure in 77As

Observed large signature splitting of the signature partner bands. Presented evidence for the possible onset of stapler like mechanism in the high-lying negative-parity dipole band. Comparison to shell-model (JUN45, jj44b interactions) and particle plus triaxial-rotor model (TPRM) calculations. Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) spectrometer comprising 6 Clover and 1 LEPS detectors at K-130 Cyclotron of the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC, Kolkata).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 64Ni(6Li, X)64Cu/65Cu/67Ga/68Ga/67Zn/68Zn, E=11-28 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, x-ray spectra, total fusion σ(E) using γ activation method at TIFR-BARC Pelletron Facility; deduced complete fusion (CF) σ(E). Dominance of neutron evaporation channels. Comparison with one-dimensional barrier penetration model (1DBPM) calculations, and with previous experimental data.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 197Au(α, 4n)197Tl, E=48 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO), γγ(linear polarization) at VECC, Kolkata 197Tl; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarity, bands, alignments; calculated Total Routhian surface (TRS) contour in (β2, γ) plane. Evidence for a possible intruder πi13/2 state. Systematics of band alignments in 193,195,197Tl.
