Search for the origin of wobbling motion in the A ≈ 130 region: The case of 131Xe

Comparison to triaxial particle rotor model (TPRM) and triaxial projected shell model (TPSM) calculations. Systematics of the bands structure, signature splittings - 127Xe, 131Xe, 133Ba, 135Ce. No experimental signatures of the wobbling excitation were found in the study. Seven Compton-suppressed clover HPGe detectors of the Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) at K-130 cyclotron of the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC, Kolkata).

β decay of 36Mg and 36Al: Identification of a β-decaying isomer in 36Al

RADIOACTIVITY 36Mg, 36Al(β-)[from 9Be(48Ca, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon for experiment at NSCL and 9Be(48Ca, X), E=172.3 MeV/nucleon for experiment at FRIB]; 36Al, 36mAl(β-)[from 36Mg(β-); measured Eγ, Iγ; deduced T1/2. 36Al; deduced levels, J, π, newly-observed β-decaying isomer, T1/2 of the isomer. 36Si; deduced levels, J, π. Comparison to shell model calculations performed with the FSU interaction using code CoSMo. For experiment at NSCL - CeBr3 based implantation detector with position-sensitive photomultiplier tube was surrounded by 16 segmented germanium detectors (SeGa) and 15 LaBr3 detectors. For experiment at FRIB - YSO scintillator based implantation detector segmented into 48x48 pixels was surrounded by 11 HPGe clover detectors and LaBr3 detectors from one side and the neutron detector array VANDLE from the other side.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 198Pt(84Kr, F), E(cm)/E(Bass)=1.14; 198Pt(86Kr, F), 197Au(86Kr, F), E(cm)/E(Bass)=1.12; measured binary reaction products in coincidence mode using the double-arm time-of-flight spectrometer CORSET, consisting of a compact start detector and a position-sensitive stop detector of microchannel plates at the U400 cyclotron Flerov laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, Dubna; deduced mass-energy distributions of fission-like events, mass-total kinetic energy (M-TKE) distributions above barrier energies, TKE distributions of the symmetric fragments. Comparison with two-center shell-model calculations, and with previous experimental results for other reaction systems. Relevance to influence of various entrance channel parameters and isospin differences on the quasifission dynamics process, leading to a more symmetric mass split distribution.

Comparison with statistical model calculations, and different microscopic calculations such as exact pairing plus independent particle model at finite temperature (EP+IPM), Hartree-Fock plus BCS (HF+BCS), and Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov plus combinatorial method (HFBC).
