Structural evolution and K mixing in 49V

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 48Ti(α, 2np), E=48 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γ(θ). 49V; deduced levels, J, π, branching ratios, δ, DCO-ratios, B(M&1), B(E2), T1/2 of several high-spin states, neutron and proton single-parti&&cle states occupation numbers, negative-parity bands structure; calculated leve total Routhian surface (TRS) plots in (β2, γ) plane, single-particle proton and neutron energies in a rotating frame. 50Cr; calculated levels, J, π, spectroscopic factors. Lifetimes of the levels extracted with line-shape analysis of Doppler-shifted spectra. Comparison of experimental results to large basis shell model (LBSM) calculations with KB3GPN effective interaction. Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) at K-130 cyclotron of Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Kolkata (VECC).

Spectroscopic study of 38K above the 31.67 μs isomer

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(28Si, np)38K, E=110 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ(θ)(DCO and ADO), γγ(linear polarization) using the INGA array at 15UD Pelletron accelerator of IUAC-New Delhi. 38K; deduced high-spin levels above the 31.67-μs isomer, J, π, multipolarities, mixing ratios. 35Cl; measured γγ(θ)(DCO and ADO ratios) for six γ rays. Comparison with large-basis shell-model calculations using the code OXBASH.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 38K; calculated levels, J, π, B(M1), B(E2), B(E3), spectroscopic factors, structure of the wave functions for excited states using large-basis shell-model calculations using the code OXBASH with different particle restrictions in sd- and pf -shell orbitals. Comparison with experimental data.
