Lifetimes of the levels extracted with line-shape analysis of Doppler-shifted spectra. Comparison of experimental results to large basis shell model (LBSM) calculations with KB3GPN effective interaction. Indian National Gamma Array (INGA) at K-130 cyclotron of Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Kolkata (VECC).

Comparison with large basis shell model calculations using OXBASH code with SDPFMW interaction, and with simple two-level mixing calculation. Comparison with previous experimental results.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 37Ar; calculated levels, J, π, γ-branching ratios, wave functions amplitudes and partitions for the positive- and negative-parity states, B(E1), B(M1), B(E2), B(M2), level half-lives, 0p-0h configuration mixing in yrast levels. Large basis shell model calculations using OXBASH code with SDPFMW interaction, and simple two-level mixing calculations. Comparison with experimental data.
