High spin states of 37Ar

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 27Al(12C, np), E=40 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO and ADO), γγ(linear polarization) using the INGA array at the 14UD Pelletron accelerator of TIFR-Mumbai. 37Ar; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, γ-branching ratios, multipolarities, mixing ratios, B(E1), B(M1), B(E2), B(M2). Comparison with large basis shell model calculations using OXBASH code with SDPFMW interaction, and with simple two-level mixing calculation. Comparison with previous experimental results.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 37Ar; calculated levels, J, π, γ-branching ratios, wave functions amplitudes and partitions for the positive- and negative-parity states, B(E1), B(M1), B(E2), B(M2), level half-lives, 0p-0h configuration mixing in yrast levels. Large basis shell model calculations using OXBASH code with SDPFMW interaction, and simple two-level mixing calculations. Comparison with experimental data.

Spectroscopic study of 38K above the 31.67 μs isomer

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(28Si, np)38K, E=110 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ(θ)(DCO and ADO), γγ(linear polarization) using the INGA array at 15UD Pelletron accelerator of IUAC-New Delhi. 38K; deduced high-spin levels above the 31.67-μs isomer, J, π, multipolarities, mixing ratios. 35Cl; measured γγ(θ)(DCO and ADO ratios) for six γ rays. Comparison with large-basis shell-model calculations using the code OXBASH.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 38K; calculated levels, J, π, B(M1), B(E2), B(E3), spectroscopic factors, structure of the wave functions for excited states using large-basis shell-model calculations using the code OXBASH with different particle restrictions in sd- and pf -shell orbitals. Comparison with experimental data.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 96Zr(32S, 3np), E=140 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, branching ratios, level half-lives by DSAM using INGA array at Pelletron accelerator at IUAC-New Delhi. 124Cs; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, bands, B(E2), B(M1), B(E1), B(M1)/B(E2) ratios, chiral-partner bands. Comparison with particle-rotor model, and triaxial projected shell model calculations. Comparison of B(M1) and B(E2) rates, and energy separations in chiral partner bands with those in 126,128Cs.
