High-spin spectroscopy of ¹²²I

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹¹⁶Cd(¹¹B, 5n), E=65 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, angular distribution ratios, γγ(linear pol) using INGA array at TIFR, Mumbai facility. ¹²²I; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, bands, multipolarity, configurations, band-crossing frequencies, alignment plots, signature splitting, and B(M1)/B(E2) ratios; calculated total energy surface contours in β-γ plane. Cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky calculations.
