Characterizing the atomic mass surface beyond the proton drip line via α-decay measurements of the πs1/2 ground state of 165Re and the πh11/2 isomer in 161Ta

RADIOACTIVITY 173Au, 169Ir, 165Re, 161Ta(α)[from 92Mo(84Sr, X), E=392 MeV]; measured Eα, Eγ, Iγ, (recoils)α-, γγ-coin, αγ-delayed coin, branching ratio, half-lives using RITU separator, EUROGAM Phase-1 type Ge detectors, GREAT spectrometer at Jyvaskyla; deduced h11/2 isomers, reduced widths, δ2, hindrance factors, Q(α).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 92Mo(84Sr, X)173Au, E=392, 400 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, αγ-, γγ-coin; deduced prompt γ. No level scheme deduced for 173Au.

ATOMIC MASSES 149Ho, 153Tm, 157Lu, 161Ta, 165Re, 169Ir; deduced mass excesses and compared with AME-2012 evaluation.
