Properties of the new α-decaying isotope 190At

RADIOACTIVITY 190At(α)[from 109Ag(84Sr, 3n), E=380, 390 MeV, followed by the separation of reaction products using the gas-filled recoil separator RITU at the K-130 cyclotron of the University of Jyvaskyla]; measured fusion-evaporation residues, (implants)α-correlated events, Eα, T1/2 of 190At decay, protons using the GREAT spectrometer with multiwire proportional counter (MWPC) and double-sided silicon strip detectors (DSSD). 190At; deduced new isotope, Jπ for the ground state, Q(α), mass excess, Q(p), reduced decay width and α-decay hindrance factor using Rasmussen method, no evidence for the observation of protons; discussed logistics of proton emission from the decay of 190At. Systematics of experimental ground-state α-decay energies Q(α) of 105,106,107,108,109,110,111,112,113,114,115,116,117,118,119,120,121,122,123,124At, and compared with predictions from various mass models.

Measurement of 238U(n, n'γ) cross section data and their impact on reaction models

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 238U(n, n'γ), E<20 MeV from GELINA facility at EC-JRC Geel; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(TOF)-plot, angle-integrated γ-production σ(E, θ) using time-of-flight (TOF) and prompt γ-ray spectroscopy methods using the GRAPhEME spectrometer at GELINA. 238U; deduced levels, γ transitions, Iγ values, multipolarities, σ for E2 transitions, discrete structure and interband transition; discussed new or revised γ ray energies and intensities for 218.1-, 270.1-, 680.11-, 931.1-, 950.12- and 997.58-keV γ rays, as compared to evaluated data in the ENSDF database and those in 2014Go06 (Phys. Atomic Nuclei 77, 131). Comparison with previous experimental and evaluated reaction cross section data, and with TALYS, EMPIRE and CoH theoretical calculations using nuclear reaction codes dealing with compound nucleus, and pre-equilibrium mechanisms. Relevance to microscopic improving the modeling of the (n, n') reaction.

Identification of excited states in 10752Te55

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 58Ni(54Fe, 3n2p)107Te, E=195 MeV; 54Fe(58Ni, 3n2p)107Te, E=215 MeV; measured recoils, Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, (particle)γ-coin using EUROGAM array of 43 Compton-suppressed HPGe detectors and recoiling fusion evaporation products separated by RITU separator and implanted into two double-sided silicon strip detectors (DSSDs) of the GREAT spectrometer in 58Ni(54Fe, 3n2p) experiment, and using Jurogam III array of 15 Eurogam and 24 Euroball clover escape-suppressed Ge detectors, with evaporation products separated by MARA separator and implanted into the DSSD for the 54Fe(58Ni, 3n2p) experiment, both performed at the University of Jyvaskyla Accelerator Laboratory using recoil-decay tagging technique. 107Te; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, νh11/2 band. Comparison with large-scale shell-model calculations and total Routhian surface calculations. Systematics of νh11/2 bands and level structures in 107,109,111,113,115,117,119Te.
