Comparison with previous experimental results, and with theoretical predictions from quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA), based on finite range droplet model (FRDM) and the relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov (RHB) plus proton-neutron QRPA (pnQRPA).

Deciphering 98Nb β decay with the Modular Total Absorption Spectrometer at ORNL

RADIOACTIVITY 98Nb(β-)[from decay chains of 98Rb and 98Sr produced in 238U(p, F) at HRIBF-ORNL facility]; measured Eγ, Iγ, total absorption γ-ray spectrum using NaI(Tl)-based Modular Total Absorption Spectrometer (MTAS); deduced average γ energy per β decay, and average ν-bar; discussed impact of measured β-feeding pattern on reactor decay heat calculations and predicted detection rates of reactor ν-bar. 98Zr; measured T1/2 with 98Zr and 98Nb in equilibrium, and compared with value in the ENSDF database. 98Mo; deduced levels, β feedings to the g.s. and excited states, logft, conversion electron per β decay from the E0 transition from the first excited 0+ state in 98Mo. Comparison with β feedings and average γ energy in the ENSDF and ENDF/B-VIII.0 databases, and with previous experimental results. Relevance to the study of β- decays of abundantly produced fission products in nuclear reactors.

Comparison with previous experimental data, and with large scale shell-model (LSSM) calculations using N3LOP (SM-I) and Kuo-Herling (SM-II) effective interactions. Systematics of B(E2) for yrast states of 134,136,138Te and 135,137,139I.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 240Pu(48Ca, 3n), (48Ca, 4n), E=250 MeV; measured evaporation residues (ER), α, and SF fragments, ER-α, α-α, and ER-SF correlated events, reaction σ using Dubna gas-filled recoil separator (DGFRS) at the U-400 cyclotron facility of Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions(FLNR), JINR; deduced three ER-α-SF correlated decay chains decaying from 285Fl to 265Rf, one ER-α-SF decay chain, and 25 short ER-SF decay chains, super-heavy nuclides (SHN). Systematics of production σ for Cf, Cm and Am isotopes in 248Cm, 249Cf(136Xe, xn), 248Cm(86Kr, xn), and 240Pu, 243Am, 248Cm(48Ca, xn) reactions. 240,244mAm, 242mAm, 237,239,241mPu, 238,241,243,244,245,246mAm, 287Fl, 282,283Cn, 279Ds; possible production of mostly the SF activities.

RADIOACTIVITY 285Fl, 281Cn, 277Ds, 273Hs, 269Sg(α); 265Rf(SF)[from 240Pu(48Ca, 3n), E=250 MeV]; measured Eα, ESF, T1/2 from three correlated decay chains; deduced average decay properties, possible indication of decays through different energy levels. 284Fl(SF)[from 240Pu(48Ca, 4n), E=250 MeV]; deduced possible three ER-SF correlated decay chains and estimated half-life.
