Spectroscopic quadrupole moments in 124Xe

NUCLEAR REACTIONS W(124Xe, 124Xe), E=4.03, 4.11 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, recoil nuclei, Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. 124Xe; deduced levels, J, π, rotational bands, transition matrix elements, B(E2), spectroscopic quadrupole moments. Coulomb excitation analysis performed with GOSIA. Data confirms that O(6) symmetry is substantially broken in 124Xe and point on prolate axially deformed nature of the ground state band. Systematic of spectroscopic quadrupole moments for Sn, Te, Xe and Ba. VAMOS++ magnetic spectrometer with AGATA g-ray tracking array at GANIL.

Comparison to other experimental data in particular with 180Hg and 178Pt fission. Obtained pre-neutron mass-distribution is compared with four different calculations: the dynamical Brownians%hape motion (BSM) model, the microscopic scission point model (SPY2), the improved macromicroscopic scission point model (SPM), and the semiempirical GEneral Fission (GEF) model. VAMOS++ heavy-ion magnetic spectrometer with new SEcond Detection (SED) arm for coincident pair fragment detection at GANIL.

Comparison with the structures of neighboring odd-mass N=44 and N=43 isotonic chains, and with shell-model calculations. Systematics of positive-parity yrast states in 83Y, 85Nb, 87,89,91,93Tc.

Comparison with previous experimental results, with large-scale shell-model calculations, and with beyond-mean-field CHFB+5DCH calculations using Gogny D1S interaction.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(238U, F)105Nb/106Nb/107Nb/106Mo/107Mo/108Mo/109Mo/108Tc/109Tc/110Tc/, E=600 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products using FRS separator and Lund-York-Cologne calorimeter (LYCCA) at GSI, Eγ, Iγ, (fragment)γ-coin, level half-lives by a relativistic version of the Doppler-shift-attenuation method using AGATA and HECTOR+ arrays at GSI. 100,102,104,106,108Mo; deduced levels, half-lives for yrast levels, transition quadrupole moments; calculated particle-number projected potential energy surfaces in (β2, γ) plane. Comparison of level half-lives with previous experimental data, and deduced B(E2) values with beyond-mean-field calculations within the symmetry conserving configuration mixing (SCCM) method with Gogny D1S functional.
