Systematics of reduced α-decay widths for g.s. to g.s. α transitions in even-even Z=84-92, N≥126 isotopes as function of NpNn. Comparison with previous experimental results.

RADIOACTIVITY 27S(β+2p)[from 9Be(32S, X), E=80.6 MeV/nucleon, followed by separation and purification of fragments using RIBLL1 at HIRFL-Lanzhou facility, and implanted into three W1-type double-sided silicon strip detectors (DSSDs)]; measured reaction products, E(p), I(p), pp-coin, p(θ), half-life of 27S decay using Si detectors surrounded by HPGe detectors; deduced branching ratio of β+2p decay, identified as a two-proton transition, dominantly sequential, via the isobaric-analog state (IAS) in 27P to the ground state of 25Al.

RADIOACTIVITY 25Si(β+), (EC), (β+p)[from 9Be(36Ar, X), E=150 MeV/nucleon from the K500 and K1200 Coupled Cyclotron Facility at NSCL-MSU, followed by purification of 25Si beam by A1900 fragment separator]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ- and pγ-coin, E(p), I(p), half-life of 25Si decay using the Gaseous Detector with Germanium Tagging (GADGET) system of a proton detector and the SeGA array. 24Mg, 25Al; deduced levels, J, π, %Iβ+ feedings, %Iβp, γ branching ratios, logft, B(GT), Γγp and half-life for the 2673-keV level in 25Al, Γγ and Γγp for T=3/2 IAS in 25Al at 7902 keV. Comparison with shell-model calculations of levels, Jπ, β feedings, logft and B(GT) using USDC and USDI Hamiltonians, and with the experimental and theoretical decay characteristics of 25Na β- decay to 25Mg. Comparison with earlier experimental results.

First Penning trap mass measurement of 36Ca

ATOMIC MASSES 36Ca; measured masses of 36Ca+ and 36Ca2+ by the time-of-flight ion cyclotron resonance method using the LEBIT 9.4 T Penning-trap facility at NSCL-MSU; deduced mass excess and compared with AME2016 evaluation; interpreted result in the context of the isobaric multiplet mass equation (IMME) and a new ab initio derived calculation that extends the IMME with excellent agreement in the A=36, T=2 isobaric multiplet with the quadratic IMME, and only qualitative agreement with the generalized IMME (GIMME) predictions. Radioactive beam of 36Ca produced in 9Be(40Ca, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon at the Coupled Cyclotron Facility, followed by selection and purification by A1900 fragment separator.

RADIOACTIVITY 26P(β+), (β+p)[from 9Be(32S, X), E=806 MeV/nucleon, followed by in-flight separation by the RIBLL1 fragment separator at HIRFL-Lanzhou]; measured E(p), I(p), Eγ, Iγ, βp- and βγ-coin, half-life of the decay of 26P from correlated events of 26P implants and successive decays using three double-sided silicon strip detectors (DSSDs), five Clover-type HPGe detectors, and five quadrant silicon detectors (Q SDs). 26Si; deduced levels, J, π, Γp and Γγ of 5929, 3+ state. Comparison with previous experimental data, and with shell-model calculations.

Comparison with shell model calculations using universal sd (USD) Hamiltonian, and with the structure of mirror nucleus 27Na. Relevance to nuclear physics input for accurate modeling of nova and x-ray burst observables.

Fusion of 32S + 94Zr: Further exploration of the effect of the positive Qxn value neutron transfer channels

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 94Zr(32S, X), E=95-130 MeV; measured reaction products, fusion σ(E), fusion barrier distribution as function of incident energy at HI-13 accelerator facility of CIAE. Comparison with previous σ(E) results from 90,96Zr(32S, X), E(cm)=70-90 MeV and 90,94,96Zr(40Ca, X) reactions, and with couple channel (CC) calculations.
