Observation of β-delayed two-proton emission in the decay of ²²Si

RADIOACTIVITY ²²Si(β⁺2p) [from ⁹Be(²⁸Si, X), E=75.8 MeV/nucleon]; measured decay products, Ep, Ip; deduced Q-value, ground-state mass, two-proton separation energy. Comparison with large-scale shell-model calculations.
