Shape coexistence in the neutron-deficient lead region: A systematic study of lifetimes in the even-even 188-200Hg with the GRIFFIN spectrometer at TRIUMF

RADIOACTIVITY 188,190,192,194,196,198,200Tl(EC), (β+)[from U(p, X), E=500 MeV from TRIUMF cyclotron, using UCx target and TRIUMF Resonant Ionization Laser Ion Source]; measured Eγ, ce, γγ-coin, level half-lives by γγ(t) fast timing techniques using GRIFFIN spectrometer with 15 HPGe clovers, LaBr3(Ce), and Si(Li) detectors. 188,190,192,194,196,198,200Hg; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), B(M1), B(E1), ρ2(E0) for 0+ to 0+ E0 transitions. Comparison with available previous measurements, and with IBM-2 and IBM-CM calculations. Discussed B(E2)(first 4+ to first 2+)/B(E2)(first 2+ to g.s.) ratios.

RADIOACTIVITY 86Br, 91Rb(β-)[from U(p, F), E not given, radioactive beams purified by JYFLTRAP Penning trap at Jyvaskyla]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγ-coin, total absorption gamma spectrum (TAGS) using Valencia-Surrey Total Absorption Spectrometer Rocinante at the IGISOL facility of the University of Jyvaskyla; deduced mean average energy for β particles and γ rays, β spectra, B(GT) strengths, impact of the investigated decays in the prediction of decay heat and antineutrino spectrum from nuclear reactors. Comparison with previous experimental data, with the evaluated high-resolution decay data in the ENSDF database at NNDC-BNL, and with quasiparticle random-phase approximation calculations.
