Novel evidence for the σ-bond linear-chain molecular structure in ¹⁴C

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁷Li(¹¹B, α)¹⁴C, E=55 MeV; measured reaction products, Eα, Iα. ⁴He, ¹⁰Be; deduced Q-values, energy levels, J, π. Comparison with theoretically predicted band head of the positive-parity σ-bond linear-chain molecular band.
