Relevance to electron neutrino mass determination through precise mass measurements.

Neutral atoms of 27,28,29,30,31,32Al produced in U(p, X), E=1.4-GeV, using uranium carbide target, followed by extraction from the target, ionized by a resonance ionization laser ion source (RILIS), accelerated to 30 keV, and finally mass separated.

Mn beams produced in U(p, X), E=1.4 GeV reaction. Comparison with large-scale shell-model calculations using GXPF1A and LNPS effective interactions.
